Terms of Service
Last updated: May 26, 2026
The short version
Plyomat is software you use to capture and analyze jump performance with a Plyomat controller. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. The short version: don't abuse it, don't share your login, and we're not liable if a coaching decision based on the data turns out poorly. The full terms are below.
Account
You need to be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create a Plyomat account. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account. Tell us right away at dev@plyomat.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
- Use the app to violate any law or third-party right.
- Upload malware, attempt to disrupt the service, or scrape it programmatically beyond your own data.
- Resell, redistribute, or relicense the app without our written permission.
- Misrepresent your relationship to athletes whose data you upload (you must have legitimate coaching authority and any required consents).
Your data, your responsibility
You own the data you put into Plyomat — athlete records, session captures, custom assessments. You grant us only the rights we need to operate the service: storing it, rendering it for you, sending it to webhooks you've configured, and backing it up.
You're responsible for having the legal right to record and store performance data for the athletes you add. For minors and athletes covered by privacy laws like GDPR or CCPA, that means obtaining the appropriate consents before adding them. Plyomat doesn't collect dates of birth, so the consent determination is yours.
The Plyomat controller
The Plyomat controller hardware is sold separately. The app communicates with the controller over Bluetooth. Plyomat may improve the controller firmware and the app communication protocol over time; we'll preserve backward compatibility with shipped controllers wherever practical, but reserve the right to deprecate older firmware revisions with reasonable notice.
Service availability
We aim to keep the service available, but we don't guarantee uptime. Maintenance, third-party outages (Vercel, Supabase), or unforeseen issues may interrupt the service. The standalone tablet build (the Plyomat app via Capacitor) works without an internet connection once paired with a controller — that's the recommended fallback for live capture.
Termination
You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Data Management → Delete org. We send a confirmation link; the org enters a 7-day grace period before final deletion (the link revives it).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms (especially the acceptable-use section above). For non-emergency issues we'll attempt to give you notice + a chance to fix the issue first.
Disclaimer of warranties
Plyomat is provided “as is.” We make no warranties about fitness for any particular purpose. Jump performance data is a measurement tool; coaching decisions, training prescriptions, and return-to-play clearances based on that data are made at the coach's own judgment. Plyomat doesn't replace professional medical, athletic-training, or sports-medicine advice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plyomat's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100, whichever is greater). We're not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state of Oklahoma, USA. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts of Tulsa County, Oklahoma.
Changes
We'll update these terms when our practices change, with the “Last updated” date above reflecting the change. Material changes are emailed to account owners at least 30 days before they take effect.
